(n BUBUBU 6º6.291'S; 39º13.05'E) is a small, rural village with a police station and checkpoint. The main road continues north from here towards Mahonda (n MAHOND 5º59.388'S; 39º15.106'E) and Nungwi (n NUSHOP 5º43.673'S; 39º17.614'E), and a new minor tar road branches off east to reach the agricultural area of Kidichi, where most visitors on spice tours arranged in Zanzibar Town are taken.

If you stay on the main road for a few more kilometres, near the village of Chuini (about 10km north of Zanzibar Town) a wide dirt road forks off left (n TUMANG 6º3.113'S; 39º13.52'E), signposted to Bumbwini, and this leads to Mangapwani.
