Virtually all the accommodations on Kendwa beach have an affiliated beach bar and restaurant offering cold drinks, casual dining, and uninterrupted sea views. The menus and quality are close to identical, relying heavily on the day's catch for fresh seafood, with a number of Swahili curry and fresh pizza options.

They are all open to anyone who cares to wander by and, as with many places on Zanzibar, this includes a number of friendly (and hungry) neighbourhood cats.
